5,84,572 diyas lit in Ayodhya, making Guinness world record for ‘largest display of oil lamps’

Deepotsav celebrations started on Friday in Ayodhya in the presence of Uttar Pradesh governor Anandiben Patel and chief minister Yogi Adityanath.

The celebrations started from Friday afternoon itself when a grand coronation procession of Lord Ram began from Saket College in Ayodhya to achieve the riverbank after overlaying a stretch of about 5 kilometres. The procession has 11 tableaux, constructed on the Ramayana themes, collaborating in it.

The themes embody Gurukul Shiksha, Ram-Sita Vivah, Kewat Prasang, Ram Darbaar, Shabri-Ram Milaap and Lanka Dahan amongst others. Besides the Saryu financial institution, the Ram Janmabhoomi, the location of upcoming Ram temple, was lit up by 11,000 earthen lamps in the night, when a grand Aarti was held on the Saryu river after the sundown.

In her speech, the Governor mentioned Ram and Ramrajya have been “inseparable parts of the Indian culture” and spoke at size in regards to the beliefs of the Maryada Purushottam.

She suggested the folks to not decrease their guards in their combat towards the Covid-19 pandemic until it was completed.

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh and a quantity of saints and ministers have been additionally current on the event.
