Farmers taking part within the ongoing protests in opposition to newly enacted three agriculture legal guidelines have been not summoned by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), the federal government informed Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
Thousands of farmers, principally from Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh, have been protesting at Delhi borders for greater than two months, demanding an entire repeal of three farm legal guidelines enacted in September 2020.
“No sir,” Union Minister of State for Home G. Kishan Reddy mentioned in a written reply to a question whether or not the NIA summoned farmers, taking part within the ongoing farmers’ protests. NIA probes terror associated crimes. The query was requested by Congress chief Digvijaya Singh and two different members.
