The Chhattisgarh authorities on Wednesday prolonged the last date for paddy procurement registration from November 10 to November 17 on the directions of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, an official stated. The procurement will begin on December 1.

Agriculture minister Ravindra Chaubey blamed a scarcity of jute sacks out there due to Covid-19 for the delay within the procurement.
