The deadline for filing returns for individual taxpayers for monetary yr 2019-20 has been extended by one month, the Union finance ministry stated on Saturday. The deadline will now be on December 31, 2020.

CBDT added that the date for fee of self-assessment tax for these with self-assessment tax legal responsibility of upto Rs 1 lakh is extended to January 31, 2021.
Meanwhile, the due date for furnishing of earnings tax returns for taxpayers (together with their companions) required to get their accounts audited and for whom the due date, which is earlier than the extension by new notification in response to the Income Tax Act was October 31, 2020, has been extended to January 31, 2021, CBDT stated.
The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) on Saturday talked about that it has been determined to increase the due date for filing Annual Return (FORM GSTR-9/GSTR-9A) and the Reconciliation Statement (FORM GSTR-9C) for monetary yr 2018-19 from thirty first October 2020 to thirty first December 2020.
