Anish Suganthan, assistant professor, IIM Ahmedabad, says, “Not every programme admission/selection at IIMs is necessarily based on CAT. The admission to the MGNF will be based on a rigorous process to select young professionals with a strong interest in contributing to the skill development sector in the country. They will spend more time in the field than in classrooms.”
The fellowship is being provided by IIMs in Bangalore, Jammu, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Nagpur, Ranchi, Udaipur and Visakhapatnam. Around 660 fellows shall be recruited for the 2021-23 session. The candidate will obtain a month-to-month stipend of Rs 50,000 in the course of the first 12 months and Rs 60, 000 in the course of the second 12 months.
Ajay Garg, college, IIM Lucknow, says that the fellows will spend round 10 days at IIMs and three months within the districts, which is able to create a system of talent growth on the district degree.
