As I discussed in my earlier publish Pidi Kozhuttai, I tasted this Kathirikai Gothsu recipe at my aunt’s home. It is a simple aspect dish made with simply out there elements.     • 1/3 cup yellow moong dal

    • 1 cup Water to cook dinner the lentils
    • 3-4 small chopped brinjals
    • 1 spoon turmeric powder

    • 1 cup Tamarind Water Juice extracted from a small lemon-sized tamarind
    • ½ Karchi Oil
    • 1/2 spoon Mustard seeds

    • 1 Karchi Bengal gram dal and urad dal Everyone
    • 2 spoon grated ginger
    • 3-4 Green chilly

    • Some curry leaves
    • ½ spoon Asafoetida
    • Salt as wanted

    • Wash 1/3 cup moong dal and cook dinner in 1 cup water until 3-4 whistles.
    • While cooking, add half a teaspoon of turmeric powder to it.
    • Put oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal to it.

    • Fry it and add grated ginger, chopped inexperienced chillies and curry leaves to it.
    • Roast the lentils till golden brown
    • Now add half a teaspoon of asafoetida to it

    • Now add 2-3 chopped brinjals in it
    • Fry for a minute
    • Add one cup of tamarind juice, extracted from a small lemon-sized tamarind

    • Add half teaspoon turmeric powder and salt.
    • Boil on medium flame for 7-8 minutes.
    • Now add cooked yellow moong dal into it.

    • Add water to regulate the thickness and blend properly.
    • Boil for five minutes.
    • Turn off the flame.

  • Delicious Brinjal Gotsu is prepared

 

1. Green chillies add spiciness to gotsu, so add as per your spice stage.
2. You can use turnips or easy onions and tomatoes as an alternative of brinjals.
3. This Brinjal Gotsu | Kathrikkai Gotsu goes properly with Idli, Dosai, Arisi Upma, Pidi Kozhukattai and Ven Pongal.

  • Add to it one cup of tamarind juice, extracted from a small lemon-sized tamarind.
Tamarind Water
    • Add half teaspoon turmeric powder and salt.
    • Boil on medium flame for 7-8 minutes.

  • Now add cooked yellow moong dal into it.
  • Add water to regulate the thickness and blend properly.
Pongal Gotsu
    • Boil for five minutes.

  • Turn off the flame.
  • Delicious Brinjal Gotsu is prepared.
