Maharashtra Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant on Saturday mentioned {that a} determination about modalities of last 12 months examinations shall be introduced on Monday.

On Friday, the Supreme Court held that college students of the ultimate 12 months can’t be promoted with out holding examinations. “We will announce our first decision on Monday about how we are going to conduct examinations of students in the final year of graduation and post-graduation courses,” Samant informed reporters.

“Students’ safety is paramount and decisions would be taken without compromising on safety,” he mentioned. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has requested his ministry to conduct examinations with utmost precaution and in a simplified method, he added.

A six-member committee headed by Dr Suhas Pednekar, vice-chancellor of Mumbai University, has been shaped to provide suggestions about the way to conduct examinations, the minister mentioned.

The Shiv Sena-led Maharashtra authorities was against holding examinations on the bottom of coronavirus scenario.

But the state will respect the apex courtroom’s determination, Samant had mentioned on Friday.

He additionally appealed that deceptive reviews about examination schedules shouldn’t be unfold, and the federal government will announce dates on the proper time.
