The Modi authorities has extended the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme (CLSS) till March 31, 2021. The extension is geared toward pushing the demand for inexpensive housing. According to the Ministry of Finance, it should lead to Rs 70,000 crore funding within the housing sector.
The extension was introduced by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the course of the second set of measures beneath the Rs 20 lakh crore financial package deal in May earlier this 12 months. The final date to avail the PMAY CLSS scheme was earlier March 31, 2020.

The MIF-II class covers these with earnings between Rs 12 lakh and Rs 18 lakh. They get an curiosity subsidy of three per cent on a loam quantity up to Rs 9 lakh.
For the LIG/EWS class, the loan quantity is up to Rs 6 lakh and curiosity subsidy is 6.5 per cent.
