Samsung share in Taiwan smartphone market hits 7-year high

Samsung Electronics noticed its smartphone gross sales in the Taiwan market hit a seven-year high of 30.3% in July, up practically 9pp from the extent seen a 12 months earlier, in line with information compiled by native retail channels.
Strong gross sales of the Galaxy S20 5G, coupled with Samsung’s A- and M-series fashions helped push up the seller’s share in the native market, in line with market observers.
Samsung expects its smartphone gross sales in Taiwan to develop over 15% on 12 months in the second half of 2020 because of the provision of its latest Galaxy Note 20 lineup, in line with Jacob Chen, vp of mobile and knowledge enterprise unit at Samsung Taiwan.
Sales of the Note 20 Ultra have been stronger than anticipated, accounting for practically 70% of the preliminary gross sales of the Note 20 lineup, Chen famous, including that Samsung plans to introduce its new foldable fashions into the native market in the second half.
In July, Apple remained the highest vendor with a 32.7% share in phrases of unit shipments. Oppo was third with a 7.0% share, adopted by Vivo (5.5%), Sony Mobile Communications (4.3%), Realme (3.7%), Asustek (3.4%), Redmi (3.3%), HTC (2.3%) and LG Electronics (1.2%), in line with the channel information.
