The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has warned candidates showing for CA exams against sending threat mails to examination centres, saying legal action shall be initiated for such misdemeanour.

In an announcement, the ICAI mentioned, “It has been reported by some examination centres that they are receiving threatening e-mails from some of the candidates appearing for the CA Examination scheduled for November.” “The institute has viewed such misdemeanour by the candidates very seriously. It amounts to interfering in the examination process of the Institute which is a statutory function under the provisions of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949,” its mentioned.

Action has already been initiated in accordance with legislation against some such college students, the institute mentioned.
